• Criteria:

Fiber optic Cable Technician must be certified from Ooredoo or Kahramaa, must be familiar with the components provided in drawings, inspecting, testing and repairing equipment used in telecommunications, networks including and not limited to OTDR, Networks Analyzer.  Installing new fiber optic networks and repairing existing ones as needed.  Installing and maintaining equipment used in telecommunications networks such as routers, switches, and repeaters.  Installing new infrastructure or upgrading existing infrastructure to accommodate technological advances in the telecommunications industry.  Installing fiber optic equipment such as splicing machines, fiber optic test equipment, and fiber optic cable termination devices.  Installing fiber optic cables in conduits, Underground or aerial locations such as on telephone poles or between buildings  Performing troubleshooting on fiber optic networks to identify problems and provide solutions.  Performing all types of testing with OTDR including drum test, pre-installation, end to end test.  Good knowledge of drum test of SM and MM fibers.  Knowledge about Work permits system in Oil & Gas industries.  Performing all types of LAN Cables Termination and crimping
